Mother’s Day performance 2008

Purpose:
To foster better bondage between members through working together
To express our ultimate heartfelt gratitude towards our mothers through singing

Items:
Youth ministry: Song, Because you loved me by Celine Dion
Programmes Department: Powerpoint presentation
Administrative Department: Card
Overall I/C: Yufei
Emcee: Yufei
Make-up artist: Stephanie
Costumes: Huiyi
Formation: Yufei

Members involved: (according to height)
Guys: Junhong, Shawn, Nicholas, Samuel, Caleb
Girls: Yufei, Stephanie, Ruby, Yiting, Huiyi, Jingyi, Inez

Some ground rules:

1. Everyone to bring lyrics for every practice session (whether on Sat or extra practice)

2. Everyone to make an effort to sing and cooperate when practicing

3. Everyone to try to memorise lyrics by 3^rd May

Announcements:

1. Administrative department meet after youth cell on Friday

2. Executive department to meet after youth cell on Friday

3. Please practice singing the song during your free time

4. Please cooperate because we have very limited time left

5. Tell me if you don’t have the lyrics through sms(91142562) or email(wangyufei1994@hotmail.com) by latest Thursday, 10^th April

6. Rental of lyrics is available at 50cents every time, but you can do so for maximum 3 times, or a forfeit would be imposed.

Girls: skirts/dresses

- No sportswear allowed (BASKETBALL/soccer JESERY; FBT-LONG or short)

Light make-up for guys, slightly heavier make-up for girls

Anyway, since I am the formation I/C so I shall just go on crapping a bit more about formation…

- Okay, we can have one pair (guy+girl) as lead for verse one, verse two and bridge, but can I have the promise that everyone would sing PROPERLY for chorus? (:

- I have given the lead singer thing much thought, and I guess with lead singers we can ease the load of memorizing and also the guys straining their voices

- Nominate 3 pairs! :D note height, can’t have too big a gap, and guys preferably taller than girls :D

- The pitch of the song’s not a valid excuse, you can transpose it one octave/half octave/whatever higher/lower to suit your pitch range.

- Hmm, so faster y’all tell me the pairs, the faster I can come up with a few choices for formation, we’ll vote on Friday for the 3 pairs.

- Anyway, I hope all nominees would cooperate and sing if you are chosen as one of the leads.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE WE NEED YOUR COOPERATION ON THIS. TIME IS RUNNING LOW AND WE ALL WANT TO MAKE THIS A SUCCESS, RIGHT? :D

C’MON LETS SHOW THEM WHAT ICC YOUTH CAN DO, ALRIGHT!

BECAUSE I BELIEVE EVERYONE OF YOU CAN DO IT! :D

1. Settle the formation-meaning lead singers and practice with it

2. Settle the pitch of every guy and girl

3. More detailed sketches of costumes
